Activities

As a summer stopover, or cosy winter retreat, Gabriola has lots to offer. For starters, try these;-
Outdoorsy. You name it, it's here on Gabriola. Diving, Kayaking, Fishing, Sailing, Hiking and more.
Culture Vulture. Between our ancient petroglyphs and our unique Island Museum, you'll find a wealth of human history and industrial archeology that reflects the fascinating development of the Canadian nation.
Hideaway. Tucked away from the mainstream frenzy, we offer the opportunity to find peace, space, and room to think in a pristine natural environment. Write on.......
Artytypes. Famous as the 'Island of the Arts' Gabriola has more musicians and artists per square canvas than anywhere else on earth, and more galleries, tours and workshops than you can shake a brush at.
Twitcher. If it flies on the Pacific coast, it probably flies past Gabriola, so don't forget your scope. But then again, sit still for a while and the Ospreys will probably zoom in close to check you out anyway.
Bikerville. Doing trans Canada, or Alaska to Tierra Del Fuego? Call in and talk two wheels, and tweak away in our engine and pedal friendly workshop, if it helps you along the way.
Learningzone. Timber frame building, Traditional Boat building, Tai Chi, Personal development, Yoga. On a course, then stay with us. Lifts available.
Ecodudes. Interested in extraordinary geology, phosphorescent seas, rare funghi......you've found it.
Your kidding? Gabriola is a paradise for children to experience a wealth of activities and sights in a safe, friendly environment. Start with sandcastles on Twin Beaches, and work up.....
Getting around. No wheels, no problem. Gabriola has adopted a unique eco-friendly means of transport for all. It's called 'hitch hiking' ! Thumbs up, and away. Most folk join in, and you get to meet interesting people along the way.

So, that's 'day one' sorted.........
